In the name of God Amen I Anselm GILLIAM of Sussex County being of sound and deposing mind and memory do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner following, to wit:
Imprimis
Item unto my beloved wife Sarah GILLIAM during her life or widowhood a certain parsel of land to wit beginning at a pine tree on the road leading to Peter’s bridge from said pine tree south to a small branch from thence to the spring and from thence to the Little Swamp then up the said Swamp to the road then down said road to the pine beginning further lend to my wife all of my personal estate of what kind or sort soever where it may be found during her life of widowhood for the support and education of my son Matthew GILLIAM
Lastly I do appoint my wife Sarah GILLIAM and William Peters Executors of this my last will and testament.

Item I give to my son Carter GILLIAM the said lent land at the death of my wife Sarah GILLIAM to him and his heirs forever with all my other lands.
At a Court held for Sussex County the 7th Day of November 1811
The last will and testament of Anselm GILLIAM was presented unto court by William Peters the Exec therein named the decree was provided by the oaths of the two subscribing witnesses and ordered to be recorded and on the motion of the said Exor who made oath and gave bond and Secondly agreeably to Law certificate is granted him for obtaining a probate thereof in due form.
