In the name of God, Amen. I Elizabeth GILLIAM of the county of Albemarle being very sick and weak but in perfect mind and memory, I do this fourteenth day of September in the year of Our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy three make this my Last Will and Testament and first of all I bequeath my soul to Almighty God who gave it me beseeching his gracious acceptance thereof and what worthy estate he has been pleased to bless me with I leave as follows, to wit:
I give and bequeath to my sister, Mary GILLIAM, my bed and furniture. I give to my brother, John GILLIAM, my chest. I give to his daughter, Aly GILLIAM, a small trunk, six plates, one dish, six spoons. I give to his son, John GILLIAM, ten pounds which is in my brother Peter GILLIAM's hands, my part of my father's estate, and my brother, Charles GILLIAM and my sister, Winnefred GILLIAM estates deceased, I desire they be equally divided between my two sisters, Ann and Mary GILLIAM, I give to my brother, John GILLIAM's wife, a brass kettle, my part of the money that is lent to my brother, John GILLIAM, and what money I have my me. I desire that the rest of my estate be equally divided between my two sisters, Ann and Mary GILLIAM.
I do appoint Richard Bennett and Hugh Rice Morris my executors to see that this my Will is put in force according to my intent and I revoke and disannull all other Wills allowing this to be my Last Will and Testament the date and year above written.

At a Court held for Albemarle County the fourteenth day of October 1773. This writing was proved to be the last will and testament of Elizabeth GILLIAM deceased by the witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded
