Background
Francis Pulaski Moorman married firstly, James Farr and secondly married Reuben GILLIAM, son of William GILLIAM and Ann Sims. Frances' Will mentions her children by James Farr: Regina W. Glenn, Sicily G. Sims and R. B. Farr. Francis and Reuben had no children. Reuben and Frances are buried in the Fish Dam Cemetery in Union County, SC.
State of South Carolina, Newberry District
In the name of God, amen. I Frances P. GILLIAM, wife of Reuben GILLIAM of the same state and district before mentioned being of sound and perfect mind and memory do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following, to wit:
Item 1st, my will is that my husband Reuben GILLIAM shall have my boy Tom as his own right and property by paying whatever valuation three disinterested men may fix upon him.
Item 2d I will that Regina W. Glenn has my woman Rachel as her own right and property forever by paying whatever valuation three disinterested men may fix upon her.
Item 3d I will unto my two daughters Regina W. Glenn and Sicily G. Sims my other four negroes, Sam, Charles, Reuben, & Lethy. The last four named with the above valuation of Tom & Rachel to be equally divided between my two daughters, Regina W. Glenn and Sicily G. Sims and the heirs of their bodies forever.
Item 4th I will unto my son R. B. Farr, ten dollars to be paid in cash.
Item 5th I will that each of my above named daughters appoint their own trusted to manage the above property.
In testimony of this my last Will I hereunto set my hand and affix my seal this 30th day of September 1854
